1. The casting has high dimensional accuracy and small surface roughness. The dimensional accuracy of investment casting can reach 4-6 levels, and the surface roughness can reach Ra1.6~3.2 μ m, which can greatly reduce the chip machining allowance of the casting and achieve zero allowance casting.
2. Castings with complex shapes can be cast, and investment casting can produce castings with very complex shapes that are difficult to process using other methods, such as impellers, hollow blades, etc., giving great freedom to the structural design of parts.
3. Alloy materials are not limited, including various alloy materials such as carbon alloy steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel.
4. High production flexibility and strong adaptability. The tooling and molds for investment casting can be manufactured using various materials and process methods, making it suitable for both large-scale production and small-scale production, even single piece production. Investment casting also has certain limitations, such as cumbersome process flow and long production cycle; The casting size cannot be too large; The cooling rate of castings is slow.
